Data Deletion Instructions
This page explains how to request deletion of your data from Inkjin, including data connected through Instagram via Hardy.
1. Deleting Data Connected via Instagram (Hardy)
If you are an Artist and have connected your Instagram account to Hardy for DM automation, Inkjin accesses and stores the following via the Instagram API, solely to provide that feature:
- Basic Instagram profile information (username, profile picture, account ID)
- Direct messages exchanged with your clients through the connected Instagram account, to enable Hardy's automated responses
- Instagram access tokens required to maintain the connection
To delete this data:
- Disconnect directly in the app — go to Hardy's Artist Mode settings, select "Connected Accounts," and disconnect your Instagram account. This immediately deletes your stored access tokens and stops further data collection.
- Or request full deletion by email — send a request to support@inkjin.com with the subject line "Instagram Data Deletion Request," including the email or Instagram username associated with your account. We will delete all Instagram-connected data, including message history, within 30 days.
2. Deleting Your Inkjin Account and Data
Any Visitor, User, or Artist can request deletion of their Inkjin account and all associated personal data at any time.
To request account deletion:
- In-app — go to Profile Settings, select "Delete Account," and confirm.
- By email — send a request to support@inkjin.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request," including the email address associated with your account.
What gets deleted, and when:
- Users: your data is deleted from the Application upon account deletion, and permanently erased from our systems within five (5) years of that date.
- Artists: your data is retained for five (5) years from the date your cooperation with Inkjin ends, after which it is permanently erased.
- Any data connected via Instagram (see Section 1) is deleted immediately upon disconnection, independent of your main account status.
These retention periods reflect our legal and tax record-keeping obligations under Greek law, as set out in our [Privacy Policy].
We will send a confirmation email once your deletion request has been completed.
3. What Is Not Deleted
Some information may be retained beyond deletion where required by law — for example, transaction records needed for tax or accounting compliance, or data necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. This is described in full in our Privacy Policy.
